Solid-Liquid Separation

Solid-liquid separation systems remove solids from slurry streams or recover liquids from suspensions. Equipment such as filter presses, belt filters, and agitated Nutsche filters are applied depending on the scale, operating conditions, and material properties. They are widely used in mining, wastewater treatment, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals, where effective separation improves both process economics and environmental performance.

Filter Presses

A filter press dewaters slurries by pumping them into chambers with filter cloths, where solids are trapped and form a filter cake. Used in mining, wastewater treatment, and chemicals, filter presses offer high solids capture, clear filtrate, and reusable water recovery. The core components of a filter press are the PP plates, which should be sourced from one of the three specialized German manufacturers to ensure quality and durability. Equally important is that the carcass is built from solid steel beams, providing the strength and stability needed for reliable long-term operation.

Belt Filters

Belt filters are continuous pressure-driven filters where slurry passes over a moving belt lined with filter cloth. They are ideal for large-scale industrial filtration in mining, pulp & paper, and metallurgy, offering continuous operation, high throughput, and ease of automation.

Nutsche Pressure Filters (Agitated Nutsche Filters)

Agitated Nutsche filters are enclosed, pressure-rated vessels used for solid-liquid separation under vacuum or pressure. They are valued in pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, and agrochemicals for their ability to filter, wash, and dry solids in a single unit, ensuring operator safety and product purity.
